Ypres Belgium
« on: November 11, 2022, 08:06:11 AM »
Went to see my mate off this morning he and his mates are off to Ypres to lay some wreaths and pay there respects  :thumb:
They were stopping off at Nells cafe on the A2 before heading to the channel tunnel.
As in past trips he will be sending me pictures that I will post on here as I get them.

It looks like they may have hit on with the weather for the trip too  :thumb:

How's the old 'war wound' coming along ?

Yes they were lucky with the weather  :thumb:

As you can see I am on 2 sticks now so getting around a lot better thanks for asking 😁
I have been to the hospital today for my weekly physio and I am doing most of the things she gets me to do ok 🤣 but what I am struggling with is the stairs they have a set in the gymnasium with 3 steps up and a platform and 3 steps down well I can go up and down the stairs starting on my good leg without to much problem, but she wants me to go up the stairs using my bad leg which I am scared to do.
We are still sleeping down stairs as we haven’t got handrails on the stairs yet,
But we are having the bath taken out and a walk in shower fitted and also he is going to do the handrails on the stairs.

Stunning pictures from France and how innocuous does that land look today ? I'm so glad to see you are on the mend. When my Mrs had her knee done she really struggled with stairs, especially as we live in a bungalow and don't really have any so she couldn't practice very easily between physio' sessions. One of our neighbours very kindly let her walk up and down the stairs to their loft conversion for a couple of weeks until she got the hang of it. If you pardon the pun 'little steps' and you'll get there  :thumb:

Thanks mate  :thumb:

He has been in contact today.    Great night at the Menen gate he did send some videos (unfortunately I cannot post them  :icon_no: )

Foggy night riding over the Somme, unfortunately one of them the other on the GS is still in Belgium as his bike went in to limp mode and had to go to the BMW workshop in Rochin
