I have been doing a few hours extra at work, due to the pallet network that we use going bust. So we have found another network to do our odd pallets ( full loads go direct ) any how the jobs were all picked and the shunts were all done. So my boss said you have been staying late quite a bit ( they do not pay overtime) so why don’t you go early the sun is out and go out on your bike.
Well I didn’t need telling twice 🤣.
So I had went out for a couple of hours around some lovely B roads and A few A roads, stopping off at The museum of power in Langford near Maldon in Essex for a picture or 2. Riding though some of the villages the kids were getting off of the school buses and they were gesturing with there hands to rev the Engine 🤣🤣 which I duly did as the Harley sounds great on the overrun 🤣
In the pictures you will see a Heron which I thought it was one of the plastic ones until it flew off ( second picture it has gone )

Thank you.  Yes he is very fair and I always think it’s like swings and roundabouts.  So that’s why I don’t mind helping out like that. We have a small but good team that get the work done 👍

Hope you have had a great Holiday and was well fed and watered 🤣

I have certainly piled a few pounds back on, there's some seriously large portion sizes on offer in Menorca! Not to mention the wine too... Diet starts tomorrow, back in the gym on Tuesday night, which will be difficult.

🤣🤣 that’s what holidays are all about 🤣 good on you 👍

I don’t think I am your typical Harley Davidson owner/rider as my bike is filthy 🤣🤣

Sent Ruby (Foxeye) off to start a new chapter of her life down in Tiverton, in the back of a bright red Vivaro, with her new owner. She will be getting a full nut & bolt restore.

125 Repsol is being collected tomorrow by a bloke from Leeds who deals only with 125s.

That's made space for Elvira, the FJR1300A I picked up a couple of weeks ago.

As of tomorrow, I'll be down to only 5 bikes  lol

The heartache...

I've tried the 'multibike' thing and just end up neglecting all of them bar the one I ride all the time. My mate's down to 15 at the moment (mostly Kawasaki triples) and his 'go to' bike is an old FZ750 Yamaha, the rest barely get moved apart from the odd kick into life and a trip around the block.

As you know I have had 4 bikes for years now (5 if you count the speedway bike ) and non bikers say but you can only ride 1 at a time which in fairness is true 🤣

So if I sale the other 3 I have and just have the Harley then maybe in time I would by a 2nd cruiser type bike ??

I have to say I miss my former Rocket 3 Touring on sunny days and could make room for one. I have noticed the prices have firmed up a bit on them in the last year or so. Gratuitous picture of my former bike -

(you can't really see, but I'd converted it to a single pipe with a piece of car flexi pipe in lieu of the collector box hidden neatly under the original cover and a Harley Davidson Electraglide 'performance' silencer. It was a bit loud but added a LOT of HP by getting rid of both catholic converters & the highly restrictive collector box. A remap showed 138bhp at the rear wheel and the ability to wheelie in third and spin the rear wheel in the wet in top gear!)

I should have added I removed the incredibly restrictive airbox and fitted a Ramair filter kit. That alone is worth around 15hp!

That was a great looking bike 👍 and it must have sounded great 😊
For a few years myself and my wife used to join in on the Stevenage bike clubs Easter egg run (delivering Easter eggs to various shelters from domestic violence and children’s hospice ). one of the riders had a Rocket 3 with straight through exhausts even though there were probably 50 bikes you could hear his bike 🤣🤣. Even though it was only Easter all he’d wear was a leather waste coat 👊
