Booked the VFR in for MOT and service next Friday. It'll be the only time CMC get to service it at £250 a time! Only getting it done because I want a couple of bits sorted under warranty.

Good stuff, get the warranty work sorted. I've decided to keep getting my Tiger serviced by Triumph Newcastle (it's now out of warranty) because there are a surprising amount of software updates flying around.

Today I've run the GSXR and VFR up.

Foxeye doesn't want to start. Spinning nicely but appears now to have either no spark or blocked carbs, doesn't sound like she's trying to fire. I was intending to swap her forks and get her MOT'd next weekend. I may just bite the bullet and stick her on eBay as she is.

We had a belting run out today covering some 215 miles on all types of roads, mostly small and single lane, some with grass down the middle. Anyhow, the main highlights were Alston, Sedbergh, Kirkby Lonsdale & Hexham. Feeling on top of the world on a 'bike buzz' at the moment  :thumb:

Today the Tigger got it's annual service at Triumph Newcastle. Just over 9,000 miles and it needed a set of rear brake pads, not really surprising as I do use the rear a lot. £308 all in, which is fine by me and keeps the service schedule up to date. I could have done without getting drenched on the way home however...

That doesn’t sound a bad price at all and as you say it keeps the service schedule up to date 👍

Not sure what I am going to do with my KTM regarding servicing as the bike has only done 1922 miles after the first service (600 miles ) Laguna Ashford said next service 9000 miles or one year whatever comes first, we as you well know I haven’t be able to ride at all last year, and in fact the last time the KTM was ridden was when I put it to bed for the winter November 2021 😱

And I have heard nothing from Laguna Ashford at all ( not impressed )
 
I enquired about a Honda Africa twin back in 2017 from Lings in Suffolk and I get emails almost daily  lol

They are funny old things dealers, some pester, some just can't be bothered. The 'holy grail' is the one that fits in between. I've not found one of those yet...

Today I was out the blocks early and gave the bike a bit of soapy love. I surprised at just how dirty it got riding from Newcastle to home in the rain yesterday, only some 15 miles. Back to sparkling again and I'll pop my Corbin seat back on when this one fully dries out.

It's unfortunately one of those bikes that just gets very dirty, very easily. The mixture of satin finishes & grey's & blacks show every spot of muck & dust. Ho hum...
