Finally fitted trickle chargers on the 'Blade, VFR and Foxeye. It's only been 18 months since I installed power up the top of the garden

Steady away, you don't want to rush things. Nicely in time for winter however  :thumb:

I was out around the Scottish borders yesterday and the bike got absolutely filthy. So today several buckets of soapy love were poured, sponged and hosed over the bike to bring it back to it's former glory. See before & after below -

Today I managed to score an absolute bargain and picked up a Corbin dual seat for the tigger. I spotted it on the Tiger1200 forum and it was only down the road in Stockton-upon-Tees, so a 50 mile trip in the car as it was pissing down raining quite heavily. Incredibly, it came off a 2020 Alpine Edition so it had some white piping installed and the feller was only selling it as his recent knee operation had not gone well and any long distance touring was now out of the question. I was on the Corbin website and it would cost over £800 for a new one delivered to the door, so £250 for a nearly new, hardly used one was a no-brainer. Happy.

Thank you very much sir  :thumb:

Really happy with and it just feels 'right', if you know what I mean. I now need an excuse for a 500 mile day. In fact, do you ever need an excuse for a 500 mile day ? Well, apart from the Mrs...

 definitely not. I only did two years/winters of commuting on the bike, both after I retired from BT (van at home) when I delivered car parts for Euro until the wife retired.
Both those years were enough & it was only a twenty minute ride across town!
It's nice now to be able to pick and choose those winter days when it's not too cold for these old bones......and that's with a heated jacket/grips etc.  :thumb:

I was down a Knaresborough today delivering a lecture and passed a very cold looking feller on a 125cc Jizzmop (Chinese generic P.O.S.) and thought, nah. I get that some people can't afford a car and he did seem to have every item of clothing on he possessed, but looked nithered all the same. I had to turn the heater up in the car as he made me feel cold...

Today I renewed the insurance on the tigger, £243 which is about £50 less than last year. Nice mind.

It's a bit long winded but the abbreviated version is I rang the insurance company (Bike Sure) and told them I had fitted a Corbin seat and Delkevic carbon fibre exhaust. The lady had to run the numbers and it came back £6.50 cheaper. So, modify your bike & save money  lol
