« on: March 23, 2023, 02:25:59 PM »
Good RIDENCE to the Chinese POS I cant find parts for and is falling to bits...

And hello YBR Custom... Ive had 2 of them before so this will be the 3rd.

Will be arriving tomorrow and I am so very much looking forward to being able to ride anywhere I want on a whim and not have to worry about the bike actaully surviving the trip!

Crdit where it is due though... the Engine on this Wuyang has been ROCK SOLID... Shame about the rest of the bike!  lol

Here she is.

Needs some work but mostly cosmetic things.

Yeah... Every riding school I talk to wants me to do a full on training course. Be it a 5 day jobby or over a few weeks. At a cost of hundreds of pounds...

I've been riding for 20 years I don't need a full on course and I refuse to give in and pay that much.

That's bull pâté!  :bang: There is no legal requirement that says you have to do a certain amount of training in order to take the DAS tests.

https://www.gov.uk/motorcycle-test

When I did mine originally back in 2000, I'd already bought the R1 and took my test on it (much to the examiner's amusement). I had a mate with a training school and he put the bike on his insurance short term. I did the same in 2008 after DVLA Éclaired up my license and I had to do my DAS again. I took the test on my Thunderace, which was still insured from pre-DVLA Éclair up. In both cases I never had any official training.

Give Lightning Motorcycle Training a try, they have places all over the country and will happily let you use your own bike.

My mother is convinced that I am cursed when it comes to bikes.

I touch them, they break...

And she might be right...

Three days in and the bloody Speedo cable snapped!

£7.50 and 2 days later it's fixed again but bloody hell lol
