It goes with the territory but I thought I would share some of the woes we see here on a weekly basis.

Ride Outs/Bike Meets/Camping / Youtube fame!

We had a nice visit over the weekend from couple who are avid Youtubers. This is the video they made trying to entice some of their followers to come back and see us in August.

Fingers crossed for similar weather to what we are seeing at the moment.

Make us laugh and win some stickers  :smirk:

Since 2008 we have held a meet here at Bikers Campsite for the V-Strom Owners Club, in recent years we have opened the doors to all bikes (largely because many of the V-Strom members changed bikes)  :smirk:

Anyway, the meet is on this year, all welcome.

Ride Outs/Bike Meets/Camping / Bikers Campsite fully open!

It looks like a level of Covid normality will return to Wales from Monday 17th.

We are accepting a maximum of thirty people on site and expect some common sense to prevail with social distancing etc.

Unless something drastic happens, all facilities will be open from Monday!

To the bikers here this weekend  :bravo:

The rain started (as forecast) in the early hours and apart from a brief pause around lunchtime, it has been relentless. It has taken an Olympic effort to keep the campfires going  :campfire:

The Bikers Cafe / Any Plumbers in?
« on: May 05, 2021, 07:07:55 PM »
I need some tips please.....

I am bringing water to my new (outside) Toilet/Shower using 20mm Alkathene. I don't really want to take the Alkathene inside the building. What I would like to do is have a neat through the wall solution which converts from Alkathene to (either) 15mm copper or plastic push fit pipe.

Any elegant solutions?

The Bikers Cafe / I know we are heading out of lockdown but....

I don't feel as optimistic as I should, I should be planning trips, servicing the bike etc. I'm just not motivated  :wtf:

My name is Andy and I have a problem.

We are still constrained by the daft rules that say, you can go in a pub, you can go to your local Pool but you can't go for a piss or take a shower on a Campsite

So, we have a few self contained Caravans in and a few Bikers have made the trip (we have assigned a toilet each for their individual use only). The weather started well but now we have hail stones. Still, it is good to see people here  :thumb:

Site Feedback / Quotes

Can you please avoid using the quote button unless absolutely necessary to provide context to your post (even then, just quote enough to give that context, not the whole post). As a guide, there is never a need to quote a post on the same page as your reply.

There are a couple of reasons for this, the first is it hurts our Search Engine position as the duplicate posts are detected as attempts to dump multiple keywords to promote the site. The second, and most important, it looks untidy, it makes posts harder to read and it is just unnecessary :thumb:

Site Feedback / Scouser smiley?

Is it me or is this a Scouser?

Ey ey ey, calm down.....

This is the age old question on whether it makes financial sense to buy a Chinese Motorbike. For me though, and the key part of this review, is the dealer, taking no ownership at all of their relationship and liability with the customer when something goes wrong. They have constantly tried to distance themselves from their responsibility and tried to refer to the UK importer instead  :wnk:
