Right then... first job when installing the work tops is to fix a 30mm batton to the back and sides that butt a wall, so you don't lose stuff down the back.

« on: October 10, 2021, 09:44:46 AM »I will be laying up the VX800 for the winter and maybe the NC750 and just ride the KTM when it's not snowy, salty or wet (so maybe never).
I'll fill the tank with Esso Supreme as it does not (at present) contain Ethanol and yes I do pour in some "Stabil" fuel stabiliser. I don't know if this does any good but I'm just doing my best. Fingers crossed the Fuel shortages are not a problem soon and I can actually go and fill up some jerry cans and fill up at home.

I had a VTR for a while. Very nice motor but watch out for Reg/Rec issues and cam chain tensioner failures . I fitted a pair of manual tensioners and IIRC a reg/rec from a CG125. Compared to the DL650 it felt small as if I was a big fat jockey on a pony .... errrr oh! hang on a minute.
