Today’s ride in Kent and Sussex
The church in the field apparently was used in filming great expectations

@ northumBryan yes it is unusual looking church
I was talking to a lady who was walking past and she said it has a service there  once a month and that her daughter was married there

I'm not a church aficionado or anything like that, but I do admire the sheer scale and the engineering effort it took all those centuries ago to build these amazing structures. You quite literally couldn't build anything like that today as it would just cost far too much. Not so much that one but more York Minster or Ely Cathedral size.
