Just received yesterdays photos,
Very wet ride from Latvia to Estonia as it was so wet they decided to stay in a hotel, They booked the Ferry from Estonia to Finland £58.00.
They walked around the town and ended up in the Apparently Famous Depeche mode bar.
-
Nice, looking forward to the next installment already
-
Nice to hear you are enjoying it :thumb:
-
Good morning I received these photos yesterday morning they were heading to the Ferry to Finland Scandinavia.
The Ferry was going to be 2.5 hours crossing then a Ride of 1009 miles to the destination which was Nordkapp.
That was the last I heard from them hopefully it is because they did not have a signal ? 🤞
-
Great stuff, they might bump into my mate, he's on his way up there on a posh cruise ship !
-
Ohhh posh eh lol
I have just had a what’s app call from my mate they are all ok just very wet lol they are in Lapland I will post the pictures up tomorrow once he has sent them all.
-
Well everything was ok just a bad signal area.
They made it to the Artic circle still 400 miles to Nordkapp they spent some time in Lapland, sat nav radar showed more Rain so decided to hotel in the Artic circle rather than wild camp all of them are :old:

More photos
And even a meal Apparently Reindeer
-
More great pics, top stuff and what and adventure :thumb:
For the record I have had Reindeer before and it is very tasty, not as strongly flavoured as a red deer but very pleasant. Pronghorn Antelope is very nice too if you get the chance while in the US of A.
-
He did say it was nice and not to unlike beef 😀
He has sent me some excellent photos tonight, we are at a wedding tomorrow so I will try to put them on if I get time tomorrow :thumb:
-
He has sent these through tonight so here goes

Fantastic pictures, although the curry doesn't look too clever...
-
:thumb: looks like they're having a good trip.
I'm having a green Thai curry tonight I hope it looks better than that.
Those packets of pre cooked meals do serve a purpose but I wouldn't want to eat one every day for too long. :smirk:.
-
lol lol Yes I agree with you both the curry didn’t look very appealing to me either lol lol.
After 4 months of not being able to get out at all, I managed to get to my mates wedding yesterday :broken:
I even managed to get on to the Dance floor in my wheelchair ♿️ lol
-
Nice, knocking some shapes out like John Travolta :thumb:
-
Yea something like that lol lol there are some videos of me being spun around on the dance floor making me feel sick
More of the excellent photos from there Trip, camping in Narvik where they filmed Heroes of Telemark, they Rode 380 miles to get here in the pouring Rain.
And the 2nd lot of photos Ferry across the Fjyord and on to the Artic circle centre. More rain all morning then off & on in the afternoon.

Epic, absolutely loving it :thumb:
My mate's on a cruise and it appears they have a 'significant' covid outbreak onboard. Masks to be worn at all times when outside the cabin except when eating & drinking...
-
Thank you NorthumBryan much Appreciated, I send all the photos he sends me I wouldn’t say I have them in the correct order lol. I know the other Riders on the trip have there own photos and videos.
I am expecting todays photos to be sent tonight and I will post them up tomorrow as usual :thumb:
-
Oh no that is terrible covid has definitely not gone away in fact it is getting worse!!! Me & the mrs still wear a mask when we are out in public, let’s hope your mate doesn’t catch it 🤞
-
Yes, fingers crossed but they still have a few days to go. We've just got our phone & internet back after about 36 hours due to 'weather related issues'. Our water pressure is virtually non-existent at the moment due to a localised 'issue' (or burst pipe as they used to call them) which is just around the corner. On the bright side it's a LOT cooler and it looks like it might rain :thumb:
-
A bit of hot weather and the country goes to pot lol
He has sent some photos over and these words Todays activity lots of rain again 300 miles south, then 200 miles to Krisiansand and ferry to Denmark may have to change booking as we planned to arrive on Sunday.
His words for the first lot of photos “Weird tunnel 24km Long”
-
More from the trip
-
In awe of this trip, more cracking pics. I can safely say I have never seen a tunnel like that before ! 24kM must be so disorientating ? I've done a couple in the Alps and they are bad enough.
-
Certainly looks a great trip, plenty of memories for the lads.
Great photos, thanks for sharing. :thumb:
-
Thank you to the both of you :thumb:
There has been a split in the group my mate has left Nigel & Pat in Norway as Nigel wanted to go Rock climbing and expected the others to wait 4 hours for him. So my mate Martyn & Vaughan rode 200 miles south to the ferry at Krisiansand to Denmark. They are Due to meet up with the other two on Tuesday at Hoek van Holland. They have done 4431 miles so far.
Not many photos today as on the ferry heading to Osanabruk.
-
:thumb:
-
Well my mate Martyn & Vaughan decided to end there tour early, they were meant to meet up with the others in Holland.
They both got a ferry from Osnabruk to Dunkirk then a DFDS ferry to Harwich.
I got a message saying home now Mission complete ( Saturday Afternoon)
After washing the bike Sunday morning he sent me a picture of his rear tyre !!!!
As he is still on holiday from work his has to get a pair of tyres fitted & 30,000 service Done.
-
Brilliant stuff ! That is one fully utilized rear tyre.
-
Yes indeed it is lol lots of straight line riding me thinks lol
-
Probably doesn't need the side stand, it'll stand by itself !
-
My mate who did this trip went to have new set of tyres fitted at the place we always go to (tyremart - Team protyre Great Dunmow Essex) there is one chap there who all he does is fit the motorcycle tyres.
My mate was going for a pair of Michelin Road 6, he rang to order them and book the fitting and was told that Sadly the Motorcycle tyre fitter had been killed on his motorcycle in Wales 😱

Bugger, incredibly sad news. We have a hobby, nay lifestyle, that can sometimes take a horrific toll... Ride safe everyone :thumb:
