Title: Definitely getting old
Post by: MadisonMotorsportUK on May 20, 2022, 11:07:09 PM
So much so, I've put Amara up for sale and I've bought something a little more upright. Pick it up next Saturday  :old:

Wow! I never realised how expensive insurance is on newer bikes that don't fit into the "classic" bracket.

£300!

The 'Blade only cost £97 to insure  :crying:

Yes, not cheap for insurance these days. Mind you a friend at work's son (just 17 but passed his test) was quoted just over £3,000 to insure a £500 Vauxhall Corsa...

OK, somehow managed to get it on a classic policy with CN (my Foxeye is insured with them so mirrored NCB).

£167 inc lid & leathers.  :bravo:

Performance Direct finally phoned back at half 4 offering a 20% reduction on their £300 premium  :wtf:

I've been with PD for 11 years and they've always been miles ahead, they just don't seem to want the business any more.

CN on the other hand, who the Foxeye is insured with, obviously like me.

PD's loss......

I have always found that Carole Nash give a good price one year and then try to fleece you the following year.

To be fair to CN, the Foxeye has been insured with them for 3 years, each renewal has been cheaper so far. Only a few £ but, Tesco  :)))

I was with CN for many years but the quotes were getting more and more expensive and when I bought the KTM the quote was just ridiculous, so I went on a comparison insurance site and got a really good price from Swindon and just had the renewal £537 for all 4 bikes which I didn’t think was to bad at all 😀
Even though I cannot ride any of them  :crying:
