As the title suggests: let everyone know what you've been up to, whether it's working on your bike or going out for a run.

Longed after them.
Need to get them MOT'd after both ran out after the test center canceled when VOSA hadn't calibrated the rolling road.  :old:

I've wired in an extra set of fog lights to use as DRL's.

Replaced the dzus fastener on the sump guard of my KTM, genuine part would be £13.44, Amazon £5.99, eBay £3.50.
Used Amazon to get it fast, don’t know why as I’m not riding till next week.

Finally replaced the barn door mirrors on my DL650 Strom.
Bit less vision and a lot less noise and buffeting.

I went to the bike shop and bought HT lead and spark plug caps. Fuel hose, vacuum hose and clips. I am still investigating the VX800 issues. Is it the carbs or the vacuum driven fuel pump or the HT leads giving a weak spark? or maybe none of these. I'll start with a valve clearance check and change the HT leads, plug caps and spark plugs. I'll strip and clean the carbs and check the float heights are in spec. Lucky I bought a compressor so now I can gently blow the jets and other orifices clear. To check the fuel pum I'll use an auxilliary fuel tank and connect the vaccuam line to the no 2 inlet manifold and with plugs out run the engine on the starter to see if fuel is being pumped back up to the aux tank.  I think a three seconds on and ten seconds off on the starter should not overheat the starter. What do you think?

Nice ride out on the Z900RS today. Left home at 10 and met with some socially distant friends at Harleston. We went to "Posh Pigs" near Beccles for an all day breakfast. 2 eggs,2 sausages, 2 rashers, mushrooms, tomato, beans, saute potatoes, toast and a black coffee. £8.50. Then on to Oulton Broad for another coffee at the Quay Cafe. Sat on the wall outside the cafe in nice warm sun. Then off home by 1800 with another 170 miles on the odo. A good day out with people I've not seen for a fair few months. Here is the Z900 now fitted with a rear carrier and  with the engine bars, begining to look like a bird cage.

Nice one Brocket. Over that way in a couple of months for a few nights (not sure if we're on the bike or not yet) but that breakfast sounds like it could be worth a visit to 'Posh Pigs'.  :thumb:

Today I fitted a new tank protector to the Tigger. The original Triumph one just wouldn't stick and was as dull as dishwater so I bought this very smart gel one of the 'net.

Today I found the Playstation cheat code to get rid of the engine management warning light on the 1090. I'd had the dash off and battery disconnected. When resetting the time and date, it assumes a service is due. Left hand cluster: press up and down buttons at same time, wait for service screen to appear, scroll down to time interval, cycle past 24 months back to 12. Switch off, wait, switch on. Result. What a palaver. God knows what it'll be like changing the points and condenser, replacing the Zener diode or balancing the carbs.
